Dave is a published author, speaker, and spiritual director. He is the founder and teaching pastor of theeffect, a recovery ministry and faith community in San Clemente, CA serving those searching for recovery from addictive behavior and limiting beliefs. He is also the executive director of Encompass Recovery, an addiction treatment center in San Juan Capistrano. Dave is board certified by the American Association of Christian Counselors’ International Board of Christian Counselors and is licensed as a professional pastoral counselor by the American Association of Christian Therapists.
Working in ministry and non-profit for the last 20 years, he holds a BA in English Lit/Writing and a Masters in Divinity. He has been working in the areas of individual and family counseling, grief and crisis counseling, drug and alcohol abuse, and spiritual mentoring for the past 15 years and has directed theeffect, recovery ministry for the past 11 years. He is the author of the books The Fifth Way: A Western Journey to the Hebrew Heart of Jesus and Western Songlines: Following an Eastern Jesus in a Western World.
